I’m glad that I accepted this amazing opportunity to shoot a charity calendar with Irish Scooter Girls Alliance. Every year they pick a different charity and this year they chose to support Lifeline, a Kilkenny based suicide prevention group.
I am always happy to be part of doing something for charity and I am willing to help with my photography as much as possible!
The girls wanted to get something in the lines of pinup and retro styles. This type of shooting is a bit out of my comfort zone, but I accepted the challenge and came up with something that would still be “me”, but also something that they would like. So my keywords for the shoot were fun, feminine and timeless!
For the shooting location we chose Ducketts Grove in Carlow. It’s an amazing and so versatile location, we had it all: endless fields, stone walls, beautiful gardens! As soon as I arrived, the first thing I heard were the ghost stories of the castle. And I am being someone who truly believes such stories! But for some strange reason, the place didn’t creep me out, but it was rather peaceful. So I want to believe that there is no dark forces there! Perhaps just some friendly ghosts 🙂
The calendar is out now, if you’d like to get a copy to support Lifeline, then please contact Irish Scootergirls Alliance.
Here are some of my personal favourites from the shoot with these amazing ladies!
